New Board and New Budget
On we had our Annual General Meeting and voted in a new Board. Our new co-presidents are Christine and Bruce Rothschild. We also have a new secretary in Joan Doris. Our vice-president, treasurer, and trustees remain the same in Beth Houseknecht, Greg Spransy, Dave Gaston, and Susan Musick. Mike Attfield will be our Nominating Chairperson.
We also voted in a new budget. This essentially follows the same pattern as previous years. We have found that our income more than covers the expenditures planned or forecast in the budget.

New Roof Capital Campaign
At the Congregational Meeting on February 19, 2012 we decided to move $8000 of our existing funds towards the New Roof fund. We are considering including insulation (currently the building is uninsulated) and so would go a long way to making us a Greener community. However, we would need to take additional steps for this to be worthwhile (for instance, our windows are single pane and we have some vents in the eaves that need to be closed. We estimate that it would take $15,000 to add the new metal roof and associated insulation. So, we are half way there! However, more would be needed for the windows etc. We will be asking for special donations to go towards this fund as well as undertaking special events, including an on-going silent auction, to help raise the necessary money. Note that while solar panels seem a good idea, the Morgantown Solar Coop has informed us that our building is unsuited for them. We apparently have the wrong orientation and trees are an issue.

Morgantown Health Right donations
Laura Jones, Executive Director of Milan Puskar Health Right came and talked with us about homelessness. We asked her for a list of possible items for collection that would
assist Health Right in providing care to people experiencing homelessness. Here is the list:

New Sweat Socks
New Underwear - mens and womens in various sizes - especially larger sizes.
Healthy packaged snacks such as granola bars, nuts, raisins, fruit cups, etc.
Personal care items - especially disposable razors, travel size shampoo
and soap, toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste and floss.

Please bring items like this to the Fellowship and we'll make sure they get to Health Right.
